Overview

The JavaScript Coding for Beginners (Exam Included) from Hudson Courses Limited course is aimed at absolute beginners that have never done any coding before. Early on in the course, you’ll learn what coding is, what certain types of languages are used for, specifically JavaScript, and the types of careers available through learning JavaScript.

JavaScript is one of the many programming languages that allow websites to function by displaying certain types of content, such as interactive maps, animated 2D and 3D graphics, special effects, and enlargement of text boxes when clicked on. JavaScript essentially helps bring web pages to life by allowing these additional features to run.

It enhances the user experience through greater interaction with the website. Some of these interactions include clicking a ‘like’ button, commenting on a video, viewing a product from different angles, and even building your own custom made bicycle online.  

JavaScript is not limited to website functionality though. It is also used in part to run and develop mobile apps, web-based video games, and certain types of databases. All this is possible by working in collaboration with other programming languages, which JavaScript does very well.

Key facts

The course is comprised of two main parts, which are self-paced. In part one, you’ll learn the foundations of coding.

By the end of the first few lessons, you’ll be able to understand programming, write basic code, grasp programming concepts, think like a programmer, understand the tools in coding, have a better idea of careers available in coding, and gain practical experience by creating portfolio-worthy projects.

In part two, you’ll complete the courses specific to JavaScript in preparation to sit the final exam to gain your certification.
