What you will study
Movie storytelling follows common rules; you will learn fundamental skills to grow up their idea in a developed screenplay. Analysing different storytelling among U.S. Australian and European industries, in this workshop, students will learn how to organize and develop a script, by starting from the synopsis until the final product. They will write about the movements, actions, expressions and dialogues of the characters of their screenplay, in script format.
After completing this How to Write Movies course offered by Australian City Design College , participants will know how to use basic tools in Final Draft to edit and create a movie script.
Programme Structure
The program focuses on:
- The process of writing your story in the screenplay format.
- How to write the synopsis, the treatment and the final movie script used to visually express the story.
- The three-act structure, the heroʼs journey and the transformational arc to improve your story and characters.
- Basic tools of Final Draft, which is the most popular script writing software in Hollywood
