Overview
What you will study
Migraines are a leading cause of adult disability with an estimated five million headache sufferers in Australia (GBD collaborators, Lancet Neurology, 2017). A lack of access to neurologists means primary healthcare physicians need to understand the latest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of migraines to effectively manage their many patients who suffer from this debilitating condition. Education focused on the essentials of migraine management, which transfers specialist knowledge from neurologists to general practitioners, will improve the lives of these patients. The Migraine Management for Practitioners course offered by University of Melbourne will discuss this topic.
