Overview
The objective of HEC Paris's Entrepreneurship And Digital Innovation HEC-TUM program is to immerse participants in two essential dimensions of digital innovation: start-up entrepreneurship and industrial transformation.
Key facts
- During the first week taught by HEC Paris faculty, participants will discover the fundamentals of digital entrepreneurship, ranging from the skills needed, methods applied, and tools used, to move from an idea to a startup project.
- The dynamic learning approach includes a learning-by-doing pedagogy with a conceptual contribution, thanks to class sessions with inspiring examples shared through testimonies and team workshops.
- During the second week taught by TUM faculty (Technische Universität München), we will introduce and discuss cases and examples of digital transformation and technological innovation to industries such as healthcare or retail.
- Participants will work in groups to find solutions to challenges in digital transformation proposed by business managers.

- Understanding the digital revolution and why it promotes start-up entrepreneurship
- Assimilating the fundamentals of the entrepreneurial approach and its mindset
- Understanding the successive steps of any entrepreneurial project: market, ideation, resolution of a user problem etc.
- Identifying and using the right tools to design and test an innovative project
- Mobilizing skills through an agile approach
- Understanding digital technology and innovation, digital transformation in industry and the key challenges of digital projects
- Identifying and using qualitative and quantitative tools to support business analysis

General requirements
- Summer Programs are open to participants of all domains and who are seeking a high-level academic experience, whether the topic is a new or familiar one. They should have at least one year of post-high school studies behind them at the time of the program and a maximum of 4 years' work experience in the field of the program they are applying to.
- In order to benefit in full from the experience, both inside and outside of the classroom, applicants should be able to understand spoken English with relative ease and express themselves fluently and spontaneously. An overall CEFR level C1 is therefore required, including level C1 specifically in the Speaking and Listening components.
