Overview
It builds upon the ‘Introduction to Film Education’ course to offer hands-on training, using relevant filmmaking equipment and software. Taught by experts at Screen Education Edinburgh (SEE), the course provides you with a solid foundation from which to build on in your teaching practice. You will also reflect on this learning and share practice with fellow learners as part of your professional development.This Filmmaking in the Classroom short course is the second course of three which, on successful completion of all three, will enable you to attain a PgCert Film and Screen Education. The course must be completed in the following order: 1. Introduction to Film Education2. Filmmaking in the Classroom3. Film and Screen Education in Practice

On completion of the course, you’ll be able to understand:- the technical and creative fundamentals of short drama filmmaking;
- understand how to plan, shoot, and edit a short film;
- short film narrative and different methods for story development;
- how to use filmmaking software, from filmmaking apps to editing software;
