They are being developed by the Government as part of the Lifetime Skills Guarantee, in partnership with employers, providers and local authorities, to help people develop the skills that are in demand in their local area and get a better job. With the UK becoming the first major economy to pass laws to end its contribution to global warming by 2050, there will be a major drive in the adaption and integration of digital technologies in engineering to address challenges such as climate change, sustainable development and low-carbon mobility amongst others.

- Learners will be expected to have a sound knowledge of basic computer literacy to be able to engage with the course delivery format and subject matter and:
- Be aged 19 plus
- Have the right to live and work in the UK
- Be based in the South West region or looking to gain employment in this region
- Agree to provide mandatory personal data and supplementary information on their employment outcomes for up to 8 months following completion of the Skills Bootcamp
- Be looking for a new role, new opportunities or increased responsibility/promotion to a different role which utilises the skills acquired through their Skills Bootcamp
- We will also consider learners already in employment in the engineering or technology sector that need to re-skill / up-skill.
