Key facts
Emerging viruses comprise a diverse family of RNA viruses. The Emerging Viruses course offered by the Institut Pasteur will be focused essentially on negative RNA viruses as Influenza, Measles, Rabies viruses…, as well as positive RNA viruses as Hepatitis E, Chikungunya, Dengue, Zika viruses…. During this course, specific aspects will be developed as the regulation of viral gene expression, host restriction factors to infection, various aspects of pathogenesis, mechanisms of emergence, antiviral strategies as well as virus discovery approaches.
