Overview
Key facts
The aim of this course is to provide a practical and up-to-date overview of the latest research and clinical developments in urothelial cancer, including muscle-invasive and non-muscle invasive bladder cancers, upper urinary tract urothelial carcinomas, and their metastases. In so doing, we aim to a) promote a consensus understanding of the current optimal treatment strategies for these diseases, b) provide practical knowledge and a clinical perspective of the diseases and how they are treated, c) promote an enhanced mechanistic understanding of the diseases and the methodologies used to study them, and d) provide an industry perspective to share how new treatments are developed.

Programme Structure
Courses include:
- Discuss new discoveries and preclinical models in urothelial cancer research regarding tumor heterogeneity and therapeutic resistance
- Explain cutting-edge preclinical research techniques, including single-cell and spatial omics approaches, and asses their clinical potential for urothelial cancers
- Describe the stages of drug and technology development
- Compare and contrast current and developing treatments in urothelial cancer care
- As a team, formulate a plan for cancer care, given a particular urothelial cancer case
- Discuss and debate ethical issues related to urothelial cancer treatments and research
