What you will learn
On successful completion of this Chemical Processes course offered by Cranfield University you will:
- Identify the range of conventional and advanced water and wastewater treatment processes for the removal of dissolved impurities (including toxic metals and trace organics) and the inactivation of pathogenic organisms,
- Explain the underlying chemical principles on which the processes are based, and be able to apply these principles to unit process design and operation,
- Be able to select appropriate processes for specific applications, and have some knowledge of practical design considerations,
- Evaluate the importance of monitoring of chemical treatment processes for optimisation and diagnostics of in drinking water and wastewater treatment.
