General requirements
- To have completed the Health Assessment (Adult or Child) module, or equivalent, at level 6 or 7.
- Work based supervisor, 20 hours:
- The supervisor should have expertise in consultations, history taking, physical examination skills, diagnostic skills, decision making skills and work-based supervision. It is likely that the supervisor will be an experienced Doctor or advanced practitioner with expertise in advanced assessment, diagnostic and reasoning skills. If the supervisor is an advanced practitioner, they must have been working at advanced practice level for a minimum of three years post qualification.
- Professional registration as a healthcare professional:
- Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Working in health and social care.
