Overview
Before exploring cloud computing, the course covers foundational topics such as how computers work (including software and operating systems), an introduction to information technology, the basics of modern IT infrastructure, and an overview of in-demand cloud careers.
It then transitions into internet-connected networks, including topics such as local hosts, web servers, web applications, web security, the inner workings of websites, and the differences between static and dynamic content.
The Introduction to Information Technology and AWS Cloud course offered by Coursera in partnership with Amazon Web Services concludes with an introduction to cloud computing, its role in the modern world, the differences between public, private, and hybrid cloud models, and the importance of APIs.
