Overview
The instructors from the Introduction to AWS Cloud Careers course offered by Coursera in partnership with Amazon Web Services teach key terminology needed to start a cloud learning journey. Topics include the differences between IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS; cloud computing models (public, private, and hybrid cloud); APIs and their importance; elasticity; and horizontal and vertical scaling.
The course also explains the differences between relationship‑oriented, availability‑oriented, and milestone‑oriented roles, and includes interviews with Amazon employees who share their perspectives on a day in the life of a Solutions Architect, Data Scientist, Software Development Engineer, Systems Administrator, Security Engineer, and Customer Support Engineer.
