Introduction to Cybersecurity and Risk Management Coursera

Overview

Throughout this Introduction to Cybersecurity & Risk Management course offered by Coursera in partnership with University of California Irvine, you will be introduced to the field of cybersecurity through the world of security governance and risk management.

Throughout this program, you will practice applying foundational concepts of security governance and risk management including: 

• Creating security strategies that align with a company’s goals and objectives. 

• Applying risk assessment techniques to real-world situations. 

• Implementing effective security education, training, and awareness programs.

Applied Learning Project

In this program you will complete a series of case studies which will require you to apply the concepts and tools introduced in the video lectures to problems addressed by cybersecurity practitioners in real-world situations. 

The topics of these case studies cover a broad range of cybersecurity threats such as those posed by novel IoT technologies, ransomware attacks, and social engineering campaigns.
