The English Language Program at Western British Columbia Polytechnic College is designed to strengthen students’ English skills step by step. Each level offers well-organized courses that start monthly, allowing flexible enrollment. Through intensive classes, students master objectives and prepare to pass the target level tests.

Programme Structure
Curriculum:
Low Beginner (Level 1)
- Basic grammar rules, simple daily conversations, fundamental vocabulary
Beginner (Level 2)
- More short daily conversations and frequently-used expressions, basic reading skills
Low Intermediate (Level 3)
- High-frequency vocabulary and grammars, simple Business English and Academic English
Intermediate (Level 4)
- Communicate confidently about Business and Academic topics, improve writing and presentation skills
Low Advanced (Level 5)
- Express fluently about most of Business and Academic topics, master most of frequently-used expressions and grammars
Advanced (Level 6)
- Read, speak and write fluently about subjects, feelings and opinions in complex Business and Academic situations

- Provide the proof of Completion of Secondary Education (12 years, or equivalent) or mature student status, or postsecondary transfer.
- CELPIP: 6 overall with a minimum score of 6 in each section
- IELTS: 5.5 overall with a minimum score of 5 in each section
- TOEFL: 158 (computer-based test), TOEFL 59 (internet-based test)
- Complete WBCPC English Second Language Programme Level 4 (intermediate)
