Overview
The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) from Lakeland University teachers help students improve their general English reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills and increase their knowledge of vocabulary necessary for university study. What makes the programme unique, however, is that EAP classes focus on developing such academic abilities as note-taking, summarizing, test-taking, essay writing, classroom discussion, and presentation skills.

Study in a Communicative Environment: All classes are designed to allow students maximum time to talk to their classmates and instructor.
An All-English Environment: Students are required to use only English in EAP classes.
Visa Sponsorship: We are the only American university in Japan that can sponsor full-time student visas for EAP students.
Earn College Credit: Time spent in the EAP programme can earn up to 12 credits towards your Bachelor's Degree in Lakeland University (Japan or Wisconsin campuses)
