Graduates of our Nursing Assistant Certification of Recognition program at Olympic College are prepared to assist registered nurses or licensed practical nurses in providing basic nursing care for clients in acute, long-term, and home settings.

Upon completion of the Nursing Assistant Program, students are eligible to take the state certification exam to become a Nursing Assistant-Certified (NAC) in Washington state.
Some NAs choose to pursue careers in nursing, using their training as valuable experience in becoming a successful nurse.

Programme Structure
Curriculum:
- Students are encouraged to complete all courses in one quarter. All Nursing Assistant Program courses must be completed within one calendar year to receive a Department of Social and Health Services/Department of Health Certificate of Completion from the Olympic College Nursing Assistant Program and to be eligible for the Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program exam in the State of Washington.
