Overview
Corpsman-Medic to Practical Nursing at Olympic College prepares graduates to provide safe, direct patient care as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) in a variety of settings, including acute care, long-term care, home health, and ambulatory care. The program includes classroom study, laboratory application, high-fidelity simulation, and supervised clinical experiences (client care).
Key facts:
Graduates of the CM-PN pathway will be eligible to take the NCLEX-PN exam required to obtain a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential in Washington state. Additionally, this academic preparation and credential will prepare graduates for admission to nursing pathways that lead to a Registered Nurse license, i.e., LPN-to-RN, or VL-BSN.

General requirements
Application is open to current and past Airforce Medics (4NOX1, skill level 5) and Navy Corpsmen (HM000 (Rank: [HM3] E-4 and above).
- Fluency in the English language (reading comprehension and writing); a necessary requirement for licensure as a nurse.
Completion of the following prerequisite courses with a minimum grade of 2.0 in each course: BIOL& 241* , ENGL&101, and PSYC&100.
*CHEM& 121 and BIOL& 160 are required prerequisites for BIOL& 241 at Olympic College.
