Overview
Welding technology is a rewarding and high-demand field. Students learn skills needed begin their careers in welding, fabrication and blueprint reading. Welding programs are offered at both Bremerton and Shelton campuses. Guaranteed admission to top universities around the world through the 2+2 University Transfer Program. Aluminum Welding is offered at Olympic College.
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Use entry level skills for welding carbon, stainless and aluminum alloys welded with the Gas Metal and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding processes.
- Understand the set-up, running and maintenance of GMAW and GTAW equipment; and how to operate the equipment safely.
- Understand safety requirements associated with the welding industry; including welding gear, welding equipment, gasses, tools, and welding environment.
