Overview
This course provides the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to administer basic life support care to ill or injured patients. Upon completion with a grade of “C” or better, students are able to challenge the National Registry and Kansas certification exams and apply for certification as an EMT in the state of Kansas.
Key Facts
A minimum of 12 clock hours of clinical and field work, in addition to schedule class time, are required. Due to State of Kansas requirements discussed at the first class, attendance of the first class session is mandatory. The Emergency Medical Technician programme is offered at Kansas City Kansas Community College.
