What can I expect?
Participants of this Acting Summer Course for Ages 8-11 programme from Guildhall School of Music & Drama will work in a group of up to 16, guided by professional actors in a range of practical, workshop-based sessions. Areas of focus will include:
- Voice
- Movement
- Drama games
- Improvisation
- Text work
There will be a small amount of preparation ahead of the course.
The week will conclude with a short, informal sharing of work for parents/guardians. Rather than a traditional ‘show’, it is an opportunity see the creative process in short sections of work.

- Anyone aged 8 to 11 who is curious about acting and theatre. No prior experience is required.
- Comfortable clothing suitable for movement (please bring a spare set, particularly in warm weather)
