Programme Structure
On completion, you should be able to:- Plan a clinical case identified during the clinical practice aspect of this module, identifying complexity and understanding how techniques that they have learnt can be applied to this scenario.
- Plan and discuss the rationale in adopting the correct access cavity and have knowledge on canal location and strategies for canal identification
- Critically review techniques and protocols available to produce consistent tapered root canal preparations.
- Discuss the reasons and methodology for obturating the root canal and the advantages and disadvantages of the different techniques available.
- Understand the roles and variety of irrigants and lubricants available for canal preparation, and the use of disinfectants in managing endodontic infections.
