Overview
You will work with an industry professional director, a musical director, a choreographer and a singing coach on an individual song and an ensemble number. The Musical Theatre Summer Course for Ages 18 programme from Guildhall School of Music & Drama will end with an in-house musical theatre review, a relaxed, open-rehearsal style sharing of your work.
What can I expect?
You will work with a dedicated director on a review of musical theatre numbers, built around your chosen repertoire. The course will follow a split day structure, with half the day spent exploring a rehearsal process, and the other half in craft-based workshops, including acting, singing and dance. You will work in a group of up to 16 participants.
You can expect to:
- Apply singing technique to a song of your choice (no more than two minutes in length)
- Develop movement and dance skills
- Expand on singing and vocal technique
