The Teaching Young Learners course at International House is for teachers who would like to teach ages 6-11, primary school age.
What will you achieve?
Take this course to:
- apply, adapt and/or create a range of activities and tasks to develop your learner’s language skills at different ages and stages of development
- select and use implicit and explicit language teaching techniques based on your learner’s age and abilities
- design and program regular review, recycling and consolidation activities into your syllabus in a fun way
- adjust teaching material so that it appeals to a wider range of personalities, abilities, learning preferences and culture
- foster self-esteem, engagement, responsibility and personal identity in your Young Learners
