Overview
The Cambridge CELTA Extended Mixed Mode course provides practical, initial training in teaching English as a foreign language.
Features
The extended mixed mode CELTA course is a flexible course mode that enables you to study full time at NILE in Norwich for the first two weeks, with face-to-face input and face-to-face teaching. You then study part-time from your own home for the second half of the course on 10 consecutive Saturdays, with live online input and live online teaching practice.
At the NILE course centre you will teach learners from around the world who are based in Norwich, work with a group of colleagues, and have full access to all NILE's resources.
For the weeks you study online, your training, or input sessions, will be live on a videoconferencing platform such as Zoom. You will do your teaching practice as live sessions, with your tutor observing you, and with learners who can be attending online from anywhere the world.
The mixed-mode CELTA equips you with experience in teaching both in the physical classroom and remotely.
