Overview
The Essentials of Human Nutrition course at Oxford Brookes University is a self-study/self-paced online short course designed to support graduates of non-science subjects who may need to achieve competency in the basic principles of human physiology and nutrition.
The short course offers over 15 hours of lecture recordings and interactive teaching material, as well as practice quizzes, and recommended additional reading to further understanding of the topics.

Programme Structure
The Essentials of Human Nutrition course is delivered across three learning units:- Human Physiology: Get insights into how the human body is structured and the way that it performs its vital functions.
- Human Nutrition: Learn about the concepts of energy supply and expenditure, the different nutrients, and how to assess dietary intake and nutritional adequacy.
- Scientific Study Skills: Understand the basic concepts and develop essential skills to interpret and use scientific recourses, as well as to write at an appropriate academic standard.
