About

This Leading Commissioning with Confidence programme at Oxford Brookes University has been developed in collaboration with Directors and Assistant Directors of Adult Services, as well as feedback from experienced commissioning managers.

Overview

The Leading Commissioning with Confidence programme at Oxford Brookes University will support aspiring leaders in adult social care commissioning to develop the key skills, competencies and knowledge to lead good strategic commissioning practice in an increasingly complex and political environment.

Programme benefits

  • Organisational succession planning. By developing in house leadership talent, the programme will help adult social care directorates grow their own future strategic leaders.
  • Enhance strategic leadership capability. Participants will gain the confidence and skills needed to lead complex commissioning projects, influence system-wide change, and operate effectively at a senior level.
