About

This Managing Organisations and Projects in Civil Engineering course at Nottingham Trent University will provide prospective civil engineers with an understanding of the complex political, cultural, economic and financial environments within which civil engineering, architectural design and construction organisations operate at both a strategic organisational and individual project level.

Overview

During the course you will explore the strategic needs and capabilities required to plan and manage a business in complex environments such as learning from manufactures and lean thinking, understanding project and risk management and cover a range of different management techniques and tools.

  • Entry Requirements: You should have a minimum of three years’ professional experience and have the support of your employer to integrate study and projects into your day-to-day work.
  • You will probably be employed on significant infrastructure or building works, with experience of developing and coordinating projects.
  • If you wish to receive credit, you should also have a 2:2 honours degree in a construction-related subject.
  • Applicants with non-standard entry qualifications and/or relevant experience will be considered on an individual basis.
