Overview
Our CELTA Training Courses - Online from Centre of English Studies Ltd, Edinburgh can be completed over 5-weeks (fast-track), 10, or 24 weeks in some cases. You’ll take classes delivered by our tutors in an interactive and practical manner through Zoom. These will give you the knowledge and techniques to teach both online and offline. Preparation time is timetabled every day for the full time course and you’ll learn how to prepare for and plan lessons. Teaching Practice takes place through Zoom and you will have access to our own CES online platform with invaluable extra resources. CES also liaises with certain schools abroad (e.g. China, Japan, Indonesia, etc.) for work opportunities post-course.
Course Details
For the 5-week course, you’ll take classes delivered by our tutors in an interactive and practical manner through Zoom. These will give you the knowledge and techniques to teach both online and offline. Preparation time is timetabled every day and you’ll learn how to prepare for and plan lessons.Our part-time online courses are designed for those who are in part-time or full time employment or for those who prefer a less intensive course.Our 10-week part-time course requires you to be online once a week for 5 hours for teaching practice and input (synchronous work). You will also need to work asynchronously during the week for 10-15 hours.Our 24-week part-time course requires you to be online every second week for 5 hours for teaching practice and input (synchronous work). You will also need to work asynchronously during the week for 5-10 hours.Programme Structure
