They use a communicative language teaching approach. This means that you will be expected to actively participate and contribute to the classes. Assessment is by means of coursework, tests, projects and presentations. Students receive individual help and attention through weekly one-to-one tutorials in order to monitor progress and help to develop the skills necessary for academic study at a British university. We have a maximum class size of 18.

General requirements
- Applicants need a valid offer for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at the University of South Wales. In addition, you must also have an IELTS (Academic) score of at least:
- 5.0 with a minimum of 4.5 in writing and 4.0 in all other components (10 week)
- 5.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in writing and 5.0 in all other components (5 week)
- If you require a visa to study in the UK, you must take the IELTS for UKVI version of the test. Students studying a course requiring a higher IELTS score than 6.0 may require a longer pre-sessional English course.
