This course is an accessible option that provides an alternative route for those who do not meet the required points for the three-year BSc Sport and Exercise Sciences or BSc Sports Coaching and Physical Education courses, or may be a pathway for those who are returning to study after several years out of education. On completion of the Certificate of Higher Education in Sport, you'll have the opportunity to progress on to Level 5 of either our BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Sciences or BSc (Hons) Sports Coaching and Physical Education.

General requirements
- Entry requirements for this course are a minimum of 40 UCAS points achieved from BTEC/A Levels (not including General Studies), T-Levels, or equivalent. You must also have GCSE grade 4 or above in Maths and English or equivalent.
- If English isn't your first language, evidence is required of at least Level 6 attainment in the International English Language Testing Scheme (IELTS). However, you must be aware that to qualify and be accepted for teacher training, an IELTS score of 6.5 is necessary. This may mean that some overseas students will need to undertake additional language development classes and take another IELTS assessment during the progress of the course.
