Students in this Cybersecurity course at The Sheffield College will understand routine protective methods used to maintain cyber security including the principles of vulnerability and penetration testing and user access control.

Programme Structure
What you can study:- Students will study a range of units that cover Digital Skills and Career Progression, providing learners with an understanding of the importance of digital skills in the workplace and how changes in employment have led to an increase in demand across a number of sectors.
- This will be followed by specialist cybersecurity and networking units designed to develop students understanding of security protection and risk management issues.
- Learners will investigate the accidental and malicious security threats that exist to IT systems and data.
- Learners will learn about different network types and the standards that relate to them.
