General requirements
- This course is designed for students aged 19 and over who are interested in pursuing a career in dental healthcare.
Applicants should normally have:
- A minimum of four GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above, including English Language (or an equivalent Level 2 qualification)
- An interest in healthcare and providing excellent patient care
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
As this qualification includes the development and assessment of practical competence, students will need to complete workplace learning within a dental practice.
Applicants who are already employed in a dental practice are encouraged to apply, and support and guidance may be available for those seeking a placement.
All applicants will be invited to attend an interview to discuss their suitability for the programme and their career aspirations.
