Overview
There are two levels of training to suit specific needs, each covering a range of different welding processes and techniques.
This Welding Techniques and Skills course at The Sheffield College can provide learners with an industry recognised qualification (if this option is taken) and the acquisition of skills and knowledge in modern welding processes and techniques.
Where does this lead
Students who complete this qualification can progress to Level 3 the following year or into employment as a welder. Students may also choose to do another process at the same level.
This qualification will help students to gain employment as a welder.
Programme Structure
What you will learn:
- Students will learn MIG and down hand welding.
- There is a theory element to each of the processes.
- Students will also learn about the health and safety associated with welding.
