This hands-on Alternative Photography course at Kingston College introduces you to the creative world of alternative photographic processes, where light, chemistry, and experimentation take centre stage.
Whether you're an artist, photographer, or complete beginner, this course offers a unique opportunity to play with process and discover the roots of photography in a supportive, studio-based environment.
Programme Structure
Students will explore camera-less techniques such as:
- Photograms – creating images by placing objects directly onto light-sensitive paper
- Chemigrams – blending painting and photography with chemicals to produce abstract results
- Cyanotype – using UV light to create beautiful, blue-toned prints
