Overview
Features
Created by pioneering composer and sound artist Pauline Oliveros, Deep Listening is a unique practice that enables people to distinguish between hearing - an automatic process - and listening, which requires active attention and awareness. This Introduction to Deep Listening short course is offered at the University of Roehampton.
Programme Structure
What you will learn:
- In this course, you will engage in a variety of listening exercises and interactive sound-making, exploring the sounds of everyday life, nature, personal thoughts, and imagination, as well as the dynamics of community.
