Overview
In this Television Production course at City of Glasgow College you’ll learn industry specific skills such as camera, editing, scriptwriting, sound and audio post-production.
You’ll have the chance to meet industry professionals working in television and video production as well as studying how the modern TV sector works.
After the course
- The majority of students go on to further study but it may be possible to look for more junior posts in the industry on successful completion of the NQ Television course.
- Successful students can progress to the HNC or HND Television courses at the college subject to conditions and places being available.

- You'll be given technical and practical experience in camera, editing, sound, and directing for single and multi-camera.
- These skills will allow you to create your own film, which can be used as a showreel when applying for jobs, or other courses.

Minimum entry requirements
- Two National 5 qualifications at Grade C or above including English; OR
- Other equivalent qualifications or experience.

- Applicants whose first language is not English should have minimum SQA ESOL National 5 or equivalent for NC/NQ courses and ESOL Higher or equivalent for HNC/D courses.
