Overview
This Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools - Level 3 course from West London College runs for 3 hours per week with an additional 2 days (minimum) working or volunteering in a primary school.
An assessor will visit you at work and observe your interactions with children and staff. You will be asked about the way you approach your job and why, which will allow you to demonstrate the knowledge and understanding you have gained in class. You will also create a portfolio of your activities in your workplace.
You will learn in dedicated classrooms, some will have access to computers for self-study, project work and class work. Other resources include access to learning materials in the Learning Centre.

- You will be able to move to a higher level qualification and it may help towards promotion in your employment.
- You could continue your studies and progress to university if desired.
- You could work as a qualified classroom assistant, supporting the teacher and helping children in a primary school.
