Overview
At Global Eye Health from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine the purposes of the workshop will be to familiarise participants with:
- the aims, objectives and strategies of the VISION 2020: the Right to Sight programme, the evolution to Universal Eye Health Coverage and key information from the WHO World report on vision and the Lancet Commission on Global Eye Health.
- the principles of planning involved in implementing community and school based eye health programmes
- how Peek Solutions can be used to power school and community eye health programmes
Careers
This four-day course is intended for ophthalmologists, optometrists, ophthalmic nurses and programme managers interested in strategies to reduce the unmet need leading to vision impairment with an emphasis on low and middle-income settings.
