Overview
You’ll learn to evaluate investment opportunities and develop new insight into how shareholder value is created and the key role executives like you play in the process. The Finance for Executives program is offered at the Northwestern University.

Interpreting Financial Reports- Identify the conceptual underpinnings of corporate reporting
- Read and understand corporate financial statements
- Conduct a qualitative assessment of financial performance
- Evaluating Investments
- Understand investment evaluation criteria
- Estimate cash flows, including the consequences of product cannibalization, shared production facilities and inflation
- Apply discounted cash flow and multiples-based valuation methods
- Understand strategic acquisitions
- Expand your knowledge of financial markets
- Evaluate alternative sources of capital for short- and long-term financing
- Manage capital structure
- Estimate the cost of capital
- Understand how the stock market responds to financial decisions
