Jamk is a creative reinvented institute of higher education. They develop and strengthen learning, competence, and competitiveness together with partners and cooperation networks – both in Finland and around the world. They have 10 000 students and 900 employees.
Jamk is a multidisciplinary University of Applied Sciences with four fields of education (schools) and administration. The schools providing education are the School of Professional Teacher Education, the School of Health and Social Studies, the School of Business and the School of Technology. The Institute of Bioeconomy, the Institute of Information Technology and the Institute of Renewable Industry operate within the Technology Unit. The Institute of Rehabilitation and the Institute of Health operate within the School of Health and Social Studies.
Research
Jamk plays an important role in the implementation of RDI activities and Jamk is one of Finland's largest research and development actors in the field of universities of applied sciences. RDI activities respond to the demands of the operating environment by offering the latest information and expertise for the use of partners.

Jamk does not provide student accommodation.
In Jyväskylä, student accommodation is provided by KOAS. The rents of KOAS apartments are usually lower than in the free market, because the foundation does not aim for making profit.

During your studies, your support of well-being and health is Finnish Student Health Services (FSHS). The specialist in student health care offers you general, mental and oral health services and supports the well-being of study communities.
Campus life
At Jamk you can study on three different campuses in Jyväskylä and at the Institute of Bioeconomy in Tarvaala, Saarijärvi.
The Main campus is located in Rajakatu where business, tourism and catering, technology and professional teacher education courses take place.
Social services and health care sector, the ICT sector operates on Lutakko campus located in Piippukatu. Team Academy which is associated with business degrees operates in Kangas.
Music education in the Culture field is located in Pitkäkatu on the Finnish Music Campus.

The quality of education is good as teachers always strive to make sure that students get the best out of every lecture and are always willing to assist students in their studies. I would recommend studying at JAMK if you are looking for a school with a good quality of education.
