Since launch in 2003 MetFilm has been committed to educational excellence and deep links into industry. To date we have educated over 9,000 students and 82% of students on courses of six months or longer are working in the creative industries.
MetFilm School has taken the lead in education for all screens by bringing learning into an industry setting, whilst encouraging aspirational storytelling. MetFilm School’s goal is to select students with the passion and tenacity to succeed in the creative industries, and to prepare them for the world of production into which they actually progress, from big screen to small.

At MetFilm School we are immensely proud of our diverse, talented and proactive community of students both old and new. 82% of our BA graduates have secured industry roles in a wide variety of roles including VFX artists, Directors, Producers, Cinematographers, Distributors, Programmers, Production Assistants, and Film Critics, working for high-profile media organisations such as the BBC, Universal, HBO and Disney.
Our advisors and production facilities team offers a range of camera, lighting and sound equipment to support student projects. Experienced industry tutors and advisors help students select the most appropriate resources across a range of platforms, including film, television and new media.
Our London campus is based within the famous Ealing Studios complex, home of renowned Ealing Comedies like The Ladykillers and Passport to Pimlico, and also recent films such as The Theory of Everything, Burnt, The Imitation Game and ITV hit series Downton Abbey, among many others.
Ealing Studios is also home to Andy Serkis’ Imaginarium, the global leader in motion capture technology associated with films like King Kong, Animal Farm and The Jungle Book. Students regularly work with The Imaginarium both in front of and behind their famous motion capture cameras.
