Following one and two-day courses in Picturehouse Cinemas, MetFilm School launched our first Eight Week course in 2003. Here’s a couple highlights since then:

MetFilm School does not offer accommodation, since our campuses are based in working film studios. However, we work with accommodation partners to share as much information as we can, including covering a range of price and living options.

In 2022, we opened our Learning Space. Based in London, the Space exists as a digital resource centre for students in Berlin and Leeds.
Students also have access to a range of library catalogues – for example, the Paul Hamlyn Library in London and the Deutsche Kinemathek Library in Berlin.
Students in London & Leeds also receive free access to BFI Player. Berlin students receive free access to MUBI.MetFilm School has three campuses, based in London, Berlin, and Leeds.
In London, our main campus is within Ealing Studios, and includes Edit and Sound Suites, a Sound Stage, teaching spaces, a Learning Space, and the Grindhouse Café. In 2021, we partnered with Garden Studios, for additional teaching space and opportunities.
In Berlin, our campus is based within Molecule Studios and House of Music (from 2024/25), and includes Edit and Sound Suites, learning spaces, screening rooms, and more.
In Leeds, our campus is based within Prime Studios – with facilities including sound stages, acting workshops, teaching spaces, a student area, and more.

While enrolled at MetFilm School, students have access to all extracurricular activities run by the University of West London (and Leeds University for Leeds students).
MetFilm School also runs a yearly election for our Student Senate, which includes a Student President, 3x Campus Vice Presidents, a Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion Officer, and a Green Officer.All MetFilm School undergraduate and postgraduate courses are validated by the University of West London.

First and foremost, I would wholeheartedly recommend Screen and Film School as a fantastic place to grow both professionally and personally. The opportunity to meet like-minded individuals who share a deep passion for filmmaking and storytelling was one of the highlights of my time there. The camaraderie and collaboration among students created an inspiring and creative atmosphere that truly enriched my learning journey. One of the standout aspects was its small size. This intimate setting fostered a comforting and personal environment, which, in turn, allowed every student to have ample access to equipment and one-on-one time with experienced tutors. The hands-on experience and guidance I received from my professors were invaluable, and I felt supported throughout my academic journey. However, there's one area where I believe Screen and Film School could improve�the curriculum. While I specialised in sound, I found that the curriculum did not delve as deeply into the subject matter as I had hoped. While I certainly left the university feeling prepared for the industry, I also felt that there was room for improvement in terms of the depth of knowledge and skill development. I believe that a more comprehensive curriculum would have better equipped me with the skills and expertise needed to stand out in the competitive film industry. In conclusion, Screen and Film School is undeniably a place where you can forge valuable industry contacts, develop your passion for filmmaking, and enjoy a close-knit community of peers. However, I do hope that in the future, the school will consider enhancing its curriculum to provide students with a more in-depth education in their chosen fields. Despite this, my time there has left me with lasting memories and a strong foundation to embark on my career in the film industry.
