Emory University

Founded in 1836, our community continues to imagine and realize the university’s mission: to create, preserve, teach, and apply knowledge in the service of humanity. At the heart of Emory's impact is a distinct purpose: to think beyond oneself. Emory is a community of impact, where the greater good is balanced with individual interest.

The university offers academic degrees and programs through nine schools, including more than 70 undergraduate choices and dozens of graduate and professional specialties. The academic year is divided into two semesters, plus a summer term.

Emory is one of the nation's leading research universities, building on an uncommon combination of campus-based resources and global partnerships.

Our students pursue doctoral research in more than 40 specialties. The Woodruff Health Sciences Center brings together the research based at the university's schools of medicine, nursing and public health and at Yerkes National Primate Research Center with the expertise of Emory Healthcare. Our library system integrates the resources of the Robert W. Woodruff Library with several specialty collections on campus.

The Career Center of Emory University is an innovative and engaging resource that drives student professional development and success.

All students will explore, identify and actively pursue a career path consistent with their values, interests, talents, and skills – and by commencement will have acquired ethically-grounded professional competency, life-ready resilience, and resolution in obtaining intentional post-graduate employment or continuing education opportunities. Ultimately, students transition from Emory work-ready, life-ready, relationship-ready, citizenship-ready…ready to achieve professional success and personal fulfillment.
