Starting in South Korea, KAIST will cross the five oceans and spread its influence throughout all the continents, expanding its roots and absorbing/converging various academics and cultures to create a fruitful and innovative future.

Housing services

KAIST offers the best facilities, programs, and services for KAIST community members’ well-being. Nearly all undergraduates and graduates reside in 21 campus-housing complexes. Eight dining halls across the campus give them a wide variety of choices for their diet. State-of the-art facilities such as the Lyu Keun-Chul Sports Complex offer diverse programs for health and wellness. International Scholar and Students Services (ISSS) Team provides various types of support for the international community at KAIST, including immigration and settling services, counseling, as well as language and culture programs and events.

Library services

  • The KAIST library started as the KAIS (Korea Advanced Institution of Science) library in 1971 and was newly constructed in March of 1993 and re-opened in its current location.
  • KAIST library consists of 4 different libraries: Main Library, Undergraduate Branch Library, College of Business Library, and Munji Campus Library.

Student clubs

Graduate Student Association(GSA) was established to provide more enjoyable and cheerful life for the graduate students in KAIST. We always concern about the graduate students’ common problems, and work to solve them. We endeavor to improve research environment and welfare system, and organize the cultural service.
