Education

Undergraduate and Graduate Pathways are ideal for international students who need additional English language and academic preparation before continuing on to a degree program at George Mason University.

Academic English is for students who do not meet the requirements for a Pathway program but want to become confident English speakers before beginning a Pathway program or transferring directly into a degree program at George Mason University.

Student services

Staff from International Programs and Services will answer any questions you have about your student visa, traveling to and from the US or applying for work authorization. Learning Services will help you develop strategies for managing your time, for staying organized and even for improving concentration in class. We’re all about helping you find the support to fit your needs.

Housing services

If you’re accepted to an Undergraduate Pathway, you'll live on campus during your INTO Mason program. If you're a graduate student or Academic English-only student, they can assist you in finding off-campus housing.You'll share a spacious  room that includes a bed, a desk, a chair and closet space for both you and your roommate. To make things easy for you when you arrive, they also provide you with a linen package including sheets, pillows, pillowcases and blankets.

Medical services

Feeling sick or need a doctor? Visit Mason Student Health Services and you'll experience high-quality healthcare. Mason's healthcare professionals will tell you what to do when you have a cold, flu, upset stomach, injury or any other health concern. You can make a medical appointment and get immunizations and allergy shots at the on-campus clinic. There’s no charge to you when you see a healthcare professional on campus—it’s all part of your student insurance.

Want to study in a large metropolitan area or on a quiet, tree-lined campus? Become a George Mason University student and you'll get the best of both worlds. At Mason’s Fairfax, Virginia campus, you'll be part of a safe, suburban community with students from all over the world. The best part? Sports facilities

Whether you're an athlete or a fan, there are many ways to get involved in Mason Athletics! Mason is a Division I school with 22 NCAA men’s and women’s athletics teams. Soccer, basketball and volleyball are some of the most exciting games to see in person. Bonus? You get to watch the games for free. 

If you're looking to stay active you can join an intramural team, a club sport or you can work out at Mason’s athletic facilities. Do you dance? Want to cycle indoors? At Mason, you’ll have free access to 3 on-campus recreation centers that offer fitness and wellness programs and services.
