The university mission statement was defined by an Institutional Declaration and approved by the Board of Governors on 19 July 1998. The statement has two main purposes:
The IQS School of Engineering aims to provide students with a comprehensive and interdisciplinary education with a special emphasis on both fundamental sciences and applied laboratory work, with a generalist focus that covers the social and economic implications of Engineering, Chemistry and Biotechnology.
The IQS School of Management is one of the best centres in Business Administration and Management and Marketing, distinguished by its Undergraduate Programmes and Master's Degrees, providing comprehensive education for people who study to create, lead and manage industrial and technological organisations.
IQS aims to provide a response to the essential questions that concern the scientific community and business environment at any given time, by educating professionals with a global vision in a constantly changing world.
IQS contributes to society’s economic, scientific, and technological development by training professionals who are capable of taking on positions of responsibility in the companies and industries they join.

The use of new information technologies is becoming more and more important in education and daily life in general; IQS promotes all those ICT resources to support teaching. The IQS university community can access on-line tools 24 hours a day to check contents, send or correct work, complete exercises, consult files or get in touch with work teams, either with a class of students or with groups.
IQS believes that encouraging participation in sports among its students is essential. For this reason, new activities are proposed each year from which students can choose various sports options. For the most competitive students, there are official IQS teams that play against other university teams and which also compete in the famous UNIJES Tournament held each year in a different Spanish city.
IQS fields the following inter-university competition teams, which can be joined by any student at the school as long as the number of registered students is sufficient:

IQS makes sure you are always taken care of doesn’t matter if you are feeling lost or not. Teachers are also great and show how knowledgeable they are.
IQS is a great university, filled with skilled teachers and quality laboratory. The research students are immersed in the lab and with the help of the PhD students, they work in total autonomy. Weekly meeting are done to allow the student to present its work in front of the teachers from their department.
