The newly-established Khalifa University of Science and Technology combines The Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research and The Petroleum Institute into one world-class, research-intensive institution, seamlessly integrating research and education to produce world leaders and critical thinkers in applied science and engineering.

Khalifa University (KU) offers full-time undergraduate comfortable residences while they are enrolled at the Abu Dhabi campus. Located just minutes from campus and accessed by a convenient residence transportation service, students living in residence have all the amenities of home, including kitchens, laundry facilities, gymnasiums and quiet areas for study.
Only those students residing further than 80 km from the campus are eligible to reside in the dormitories.
The library is located on the first floor and is sized at 851 square meters. The Abu Dhabi campus library offers computers, scanners, photocopying services, study rooms and study carrels. Library staff provide comprehensive instruction on the use of resources and finding information on an individual basis or in a class setting.

Khalifa University male and female sport teams compete in the Abu Dhabi Inter-University Sports League (ADISL) against other UAE University teams. The sport teams dedication and commitment have always led them to top rankings in the league.
Student led clubs are an integral part of the university learning experience. The academic experience is enriched by participation in extracurricular activities that allow students to pursue their personal interests beyond the classroom.The College of Engineering supports a number of discipline-based student professional chapters. These are connected to the various academic programs and offer a number of opportunities for students to be involved in their activities or participate in professional events.
