The Zagreb School of Economics and Management began operations in September 2002, with the enrollment of its first generation of students. This marked the beginning of a culmination of years of work towards the goal of bringing the best practices of business schools to Croatia and creating a business school with talented business people.
Career Center aids the ZSEM mission by acting in the field of career planning and student training, with special attention given to employment, internship, international exchange and the Alumni.
The Goal of the Career Center is a long-term individual cooperation with the companies engaged in the processes of internship and recruitment of young prospective employees in accordance to the firm’s preferences and objectives. In this way, we intend to stress personal approach, availability and sound support of ZSEM management in all our business relations to the employers.
Students’ Center (Cro. Studentski centar) is a central place for students and offers them many advantages, such as working through student contracts. Students can also live in student homes, given their rights have been met. This whole process begins with sending required documents to the Students’ center.
Admission to the ZSEM does not include accommodation. It is up to the student to find it, but we will provide you with some guidance and help. Student residences and dorms are, unfortunately, not available but we work very closely together with 2 agencies which helps our students find the right accommodation.
Digital library contains exclusively FEB Zagreb's e-publications and it is intended for FEB Zagreb students, teaching and non-teaching staff. The collection can be searched by title, author, publication year or key words and browsed by categories - title, author, study year, reference/scientific books and faculty's journals/articles.
People who do sports professionally often think of their education as well. ZSEM offers high quality program adapted to all students who do sports professionally and actively. This program is made up for those students who cannot attend regular class due to trainings and their sports career.
At ZSEM currently study around 20 sportsmen who do different sports: 25 categorized sportsmen, 15 state champions and a few medal winners from world and European championships, as well as the Universiade. Around 5% of ZSEM students does sports on daily basis. ZSEM students represented Croatia in the last two winter and summer Universiades, as well as Olympic games in London, in 2012.

My study experience was good, and the teacher were helpful
My study journey was never just about attending classes or earning credits — it was about proving to myself that I could build a future with my own hands. At 22, I fully financed my education independently, covering tuition and living expenses while working alongside my studies. Choosing a private institution meant taking full responsibility for my path, with no shortcuts and no one else to rely on but myself. Working and studying at the same time meant my student life looked very different from the traditional, carefree experience. There were long days, early mornings, and moments when exhaustion and doubt felt overwhelming. Still, I made a conscious effort to find balance, joy, and connection, refusing to let struggle be the only story of my youth. Through this journey, I gained far more than academic knowledge. I learned discipline, resilience, and self-trust — lessons that will stay with me far beyond graduation. Every challenge I faced became proof of my strength, and every sacrifice became a step toward the person I am becoming. This experience taught me that even when the road is difficult, consistency, courage, and belief in yourself can turn hard work into something deeply meaningful and empowering.
