Founded in 2005, Stamford Academy is a small, family-owned and run language school located in the heart of Stamford, a beautiful stone town situated 100 miles north of London. The Academy specialises in providing English language courses for international students and Modern Language courses such as French, Spanish, Italian, German and Dutch.
Teachers at Stamford Academy are all qualified in their respective fields and each has a minimum of two years’ teaching experience. The school’s directors have many years’ experience working and teaching in the world of education and have each travelled extensively and studied languages overseas.Our directors have a broad, in-depth knowledge of this sector gained through senior management positions in long-established UK language schools, international examination boards and large examination centres, all of which helps us to provide our students with a quality language learning experience.
Stamford Academy works closely with local hosts to provide a high standard of accommodation for its students. Homestay accommodation is perfect for those looking to experience a taste of everyday life in Stamford.
In 2010, the school gained recognition with the British Council as an accredited provider of quality English language courses, following a comprehensive independent inspection, which was renewed in April 2014. In 2012, we became members of English UK, who work to make sure students receive the highest possible standards of teaching and care.
