History
WZU is among the first batch of state-approved Chinese Language and Culture Education Base, designated by the Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE) to accept Chinese Government Scholarship students, and is authorized to accept overseas Chinese students and students from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
Education
Its academic programs cover 9 discipline areas including Literature, Science, Engineering, Law, Education, Economics, History, Management and Art. It offers 46 postgraduate programs and 57 undergraduate programs. The number of full-time faculty and staff is 1,719. It has about 14,000 undergraduates, 1,500 postgraduates, 500 international students, and around 13,000 part-time students annually for continuing education.

Housing services
There are two options of accommodation for international students studying at Chashan campuses of Wenzhou University:
On-campus accommodation at International Students Apartment located on the South Campus of Wenzhou University which is a hotel-style accommodation site for international students. The building is nicely located in the center place of the South Campus. There are catering facilities located on the first floor of the building and also in the building behind it. A variety of catering options are available at those dining venues.
ICT services
There is free broad-band internet connection on campus.
Medical services
If students are ill, they may get medical treatment at the school clinic which is in District A (near the China Mobile Centre) of South Campus in Wenzhou University. Students must pay their own medical fees.
Campus life
Chashan Campus - The International Students Apartment, also known as Expert Building, it's nicely located in the center place of the South Campus and across the road is a beautiful river zigzagging through the campus. Apartment facilities include a shared activity center with sofas and tea tables, shared kitchen area with microwave oven, laundry room with coin-operated washing machines. Double room facilities include bathroom en suite, air conditioning, telephone, TV, refrigerator, two beds, desk, wardrobe, broad-band internet connection (free). Water and electricity bills are paid by occupants based on usage
