As a student at uoi studying informatics and telecommunications, i believe that its truly a great choice for someone looking to study computer science, because it offers great study programmes that allows its students to study anything from software/hardware development, programming, electrical signals and electrical engineering. It had been a good experience for me, the teachers are also people who have worked very hard on their fields and they have a lot to give to their students.

A Beautiful Mess –My Academic Path
My study experience in Chemistry at the University of Ioannina was challenging but very meaningful, especially in the area of Biochemistry, which gradually became the main focus of my academic interests. Through the Biochemistry course, the Biochemistry Laboratory, and the Advanced Biochemistry Laboratory, I gained a solid understanding of the molecular and chemical processes that govern biological systems and their connection to health and disease.
What I appreciated most was the hands-on nature of the biochemistry laboratories, as they allowed me to connect theory with practice and develop essential experimental skills. At the same time, studying in Greece meant working in an environment with limited research funding, and in several cases, outdated laboratory equipment. Although this was challenging, it taught me how to be flexible, resourceful, and careful in my experimental work, and it strengthened my motivation to pursue research in better-equipped biomedical settings.
Overall, my academic experience helped me build a strong foundation in biochemistry and confirmed my interest in biomedical sciences. It prepared me for the academic demands of a biomedical postgraduate program and motivated me to continue my studies with the goal of contributing to biomedical research.
